How We Get Our Data

Where Do the events.broker Listings Come from?

Every listing comes from OpenStreetMap, the open map built by volunteers and businesses. We download U.S. places tagged as event venues, conference centers, party shops, event management offices, bowling alleys, trampoline parks and escape rooms, plus businesses whose names clearly describe event or party services. The current copy, 11,457 listings, was downloaded on November 5, 2026.

Categories

Each business gets one or more categories from its map tags and its name:

A business may offer more than we show. Not every venue hosts every kind of event; ask.

What We Filter Out

Churches, funeral homes, schools, political "party" offices, bars, night clubs, smoke shops and businesses whose names only look related (for example "DJ's Restaurant") are removed. Generic entries with no real business name are removed too.
